Shahrukh Khan..woah..down boy...!!

A month or so back, Shah Rukh Khan was in the news about his infamous encounter with the American Homeland Security at an Airport in New York, where he was stopped and questioned pertaining to his name and his religion. What was his response...!!?? well he laughed it off saying that the security personnel here give my stardome a serious austere flip. A lesson well learnt Mr. Khan. But he was in the news a few days back again, this time again it was about an ordeal with security personnel. This time though he didn’t laugh it off. He went straight where he wasn’t supposed to, abused security personnel and asked them to “shut the Front door..!!” All said and done, because he was in India. He questioned the officers as to how could they stop him “Shahrukh Khan”. he did not laugh it off this time. Why?? because law isn’t actually the law in India, and even if it is, it isn’t the same for everyone.

It is extremely hurtful to be a part of a system that operates on the “VVIP Syndrome”. The VIPier you get the better. Law and order is a serious situation in India, where we do not shy away from burning a cop alive or leaving him on the highway to bleed to death as a result of stab wounds. We do not take the police seriously. We are not scared of them. We dodge them when we do not wear helmets or seat belts. We bribe them for letting us off for a traffic offense. Just like SRK we laugh off an FIR and try to bring in a political influence to get out of the situation. Eventually when we do get out, we blame the police again for being corrupted.

But not all is well with the Police too. They do not take us seriously as well. They ask women to stay indoors in Delhi and Gurgaon to avoid from being kidnapped. They are ready to fine us for a traffic offense, but refuse to give the receipt when we ask for it. They let Kalmadi have tea and toast in the jailor’s cabin and they also aim and shoot at innocent farmers in Pune. It is all a balancing act. Neither of the sides want to agree. its like the tossed coin standing upright in the classic Sholay pose...!!

what example SRk is setting on his fans and also his own children is hard to fathom. His life is somebody else’s dream. He worked hard and reached where he is now, but is full of himself. His kind of luck is rare. Shouldn't he be all the more thankful? We would give anything to step into his shoes even if, for a day. Then why get messed up. If you are a Padam Shree, then behave like one. Carry the badge and set an example. I took a severe caning in school in 11th standard along with my classmates even when i could have been spared because i was the Vice Head Girl. i still carry that mark on my calf muscle and i am proud of it.

Moral of the story is that all SRK fans are not going to like this post..... but as Aamir Khan would have said it....”Satyameva Jayate”.
