Tiger Tiger…..Burning Bright….

I wish I was capable enough to do a zillion times more, for saving this astounding animal. At this point of time, I lack the capacity and the capital….but definitely not the Conscience , Character and the Concern..
Imagine a time when there would be a News Flash……. “The Last tiger Cub found dead..!!”. You might or might not be an animal lover, but the news will hit you.. A number of species of birds, fishes and reptiles have gone extinct in earlier times, no one paid heed.. but the extinction of the tiger will break our hearts.
I have never seen this glorious animal live (except in a zoo, where I couldn’t watch it rot so I moved ahead..) but the sight of it makes me swoon. A mere whip of its paw can shatter a human skull. The strength oh its jaws can rip flesh into shreds…and it roar….still signifies a sense of pride. A lot of warrior clans, be it Rajputs, Marathas etc…..sport the tiger on their flags and emblems….what is it that they are doing to save the very creation that is their brand ambassador(and that too for free).
I stopped going to the circus because I could not tolerate watching animals in captivity…and was one of the happiest persons on this planet when a long time back, the government put a check on the usage of elephants and lions in circuses. If I couldn’t do anything about it then, I had thought it would be appropriate to at least show my ignorance and not visit such places. I expect the same from all sane and educated ppl reading this post.
You must have checked out the ad showing a tiger cub waiting for its mother to return and feed it.. and she does not return at all..the guns shots fire and the mother of the cub is no more. I saw a print ad of the same campaign that said “ONLY 1411 Left”. The number shocked me……its even lesser than the number of children studying in a primary school..!! “1411” is a wake up call….
Lest we can do is to speak up……show are support and help the animal in destitute…..who itself does not know what lies ahead for it.
Soon the animal will be found as a stuffed doll in museums….where our grandchildren will be fascinated to know…that we had seen one when we were young.
It is our National Animal…….maybe that is why it has been ignored like all the other National etc’s like….Game, Bird, Song…!! It is now or Never……
I wanna write a lot, but my thoughts are racing ahead of my typo speed…. I just wanna be big enough one day to help animals fight for justice.
