Maya Madness......

Hehe……tried damn hard….to stop my instinct and not comment on Madam……..but could not control my sentiments.. Somehow she has a penchant for falling into extra ordinary trouble…..The latest being her larger than life garland that she wore on 15th March….. ….zoomed in by TV channels….to a microscopic view of the crisp Rs.1000 currency notes.. paradoxically governments and political ppl are strange beings……one form of government talks about austerity and the cattle class….and the other.. cannot stop flaunting its majestic gluttonous strides…
I was in Noida in Nov last yr and had the privilege of seeing the larger than life statues of Mayawati, Kanshiram…..and a hundred mammoth sized elephants….. Honestly…they looked spectacular…..
The second thought was the cost analysis of the same…it broke my heart…rest is history….
Ironically…Madam herself has seen a humble childhood in scarcity of basics needs, yet she has been unable to understand the plight of the poor in her own state…. the fan following behind her is amazing tough. We value the importance of a life of an educated person…..Madam values the importance of the life of the vote of an uneducated person… It is this well crafted strategy of hers that has won her a cult status…..you dare say anything against “Madamji” in Noida….dare at your own risk…. I am speaking from personal experiences, of traveling in the Yellow and orange colored UP Roadways bus where the co-passenger cannot stop praising Behenji as the bus whizzed across the expressway….. and an experience of annoying the capitalistic auto drivers by commenting on the pomp and show of all the moolah spent by her. In Madam’s kingdom….truth and reason aren’t very welcome….
But this isn’t all actually…..she went on a rampage in her speech and spoke her heart out about the various spiritual speakers, the government and quite surprisingly the women’s reservation bill. Astonishingly, an explanation is still awaited from madam herself over the humongous work pressure she has put over the media….who are going all gaga over the ordeal……But Madam ji….seems to be basking in the glory of her supremacy, and the UPA government has not been able to point proper fingers at her…how can they...their own political balance is at stake..completely ignoring the interest of the human resource......here is a democracy....OFF...!! the people...!!An unquestionable example of diplomacy at its best……
A Rs.5crore worth garland could have done wonders, maybe for 1000 or 5000 etc ppl who could have been benefitted from that money….. the best way to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the BSP could have been, to have done away with the lavish rallies and the dreamy garlands and use the public’s precious money over the girl child’s education, orphanages, animal welfare…etc etc……
A stampede in an ashram in Mangarh in UP resulted in the loss of lives of more than 65 ppl...the families of the deceased sought a compensation.....this is what Madam said.....
"In view of the acute financial crisis currently faced by the state, I am appealing to the central government to be generous in giving away decent compensation to the families of those who have lost their lives or were injured in the unfortunate stampede at the ashram run by spiritual guru Kripaluji Maharaj in Mangarh village of Pratapgarh district,However, in case the union government expresses its inability to pay, then we will squeeze our resources to mobilise funds for the purpose," she added.
All the funds to wear a Mala and not to help the ones in destitude....
Party spokespersons claim that Madam refuses to accept gifts but she cannot insult some party worker who brings in a gift out of shear respect.Hence, Madam has no choice but to accept it..... Madamji....please give away your Garland to those who need it the most.....u already have a lot more than what u deserve...!!
Somebody please tell her……That Great Leaders lead by example, by the thoughts they construct and by the deeds they achieve……and not by building up a high tower of paper cards…that gets blown away in a single wind of change….
I had a feeling once that Madam would soon be one of the contenders for the top job of the PM…and she stood a fair chance too….but the recent incident has only cost her my precious vote……I’d be happier if I saw my tax being utilized in a sense that, if does not benefit me…..it atleast benefits the less fortunate ones……
Even before the completion of my post……today….i.e. on 17th March……Madam wore yet another garland…..thankfully…this one was less heavier…..only Rs.21 lakhs… but this isn’t all ..a statement from one of the spokesperson’s of BSP was out……. Dodge this one…..
"Wherever she goes, she will henceforth be greeted with garland of notes and not with garland of flowers," state PWD minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui told reporters after her latest rally….
So if you thought that the sumptuous display of might has been done away with…. think again…..
The youth of the nation had very recently started to trust the political system of the country….with young leaders makin the accessibility to the diplomacy a lot more easier…… and in came the Heavy Garland…..and broke the tender necks of the young offshoots of the educated modern India…crushing all hopes of righteousness under it…
The opposition party leaders like Mulayam Singh, Digvijay Singh….are all over the media…(finally they got something to talk about….!!) Yet, both and the others sitting in the house of commons have missed the issue.
There is too much of shouting, repudiation going on in the high flying lobby…..but Madam is unperturbed….
Dunno what is stopping the President, The Prime Minister…….and above all the ppl of this land…..to speak up…… what are we all scared of….. was Bhagat Singh the last fearless martyr…..
Nonetheless….
Here I’m reminded of a line by Munna in Lage raho Munna Bhai.. “Eh Circuit…accha hua k Bapu real mei nai hai re…aaj agar wo yahan hota..toh ye darre hue logon k desh ko dekh kar baut rota yaar…!!”
"Mayawati...ab Dalit ki nahi....Daulat ki beti hai"- Digvijay singh.

Good one !!!!
