Toughts outta nowhere:
Big day also……since I’ve finally found a few hours of solace for myself on my way to Jaipur from Gurgaon…..Time: 11.10 am, Date: 6th Oct’09, Tough these hours of solace could turn a lot more irritating since I’m stuck in a JAM…!! SOS….
Apprehensive…?? Yes….also a little insecure about the fate of my writings, that no one might even look at it, yet…writing is my passion…..and it makes me happy……so once in a while one should do stuff that makes one happy…….
So speaking of Happiness……what makes us happy? Seeing our loved ones happy? Or finding everything we ever wanted or the mere thought of having a picture perfect life…?? I would rule out the first expression…..since we are Goddamn selfish beings and care about ourselves and no one else…..till the time we become parents……..yep its true……..I ain’t a parent yet…..but am grown up enough to understand what my folks went through to make me what I am today…..so all those who had just raised their eyebrows and had prepared to write a top class sleazy comment………LAY OFF…heehehe!
I am still seeking happiness…and in 25 yrs of my life so far……yeah yah……the silver jubilee year…I have been a little bit enlightened, that happiness is not a milestone…..nor is it a sort of a final destination to the beyond……where the aatma binds wit the parmaatma…..simply put…it is just a realization that happiness is like the wind…..would whisk away if not felt. Sometimes…it comes in the form of a breeze….. and bring smiles for a while…..a breather of sorts…….sometimes like a gust……..a surprise that brings the most innocent expression…… and also gives a peep into a persons inner child…….and sometimes it is like a hurricane……which changes lives…..for one….then for everyone around that one……
Happiness is about living in the present. Taking each moment at a time and giving into the feel of it. Like for instance…..to buy a car in the future..we save in the present….the saving in the present…brings happiness in the present and the longer we save- or the longer we enjoy little moments of joy……they bring larger chunks of happiness…..its like…the more you save……..the bigger car you get…….Honestly if one sulks everyday…..we get nothing in the future…….Deepak Chopra said” do good things happen if we are good…or they happen bcoz they are destined to happen?” sadly I did not see the whole episode, where he might have revealed the answer…so I am in this quest alone….
So people……if you have read this piece so far…….many thanks to you……and on a concluding note…….
You could be a lot more happier…if you take each moment as it comes…expect nothing……and keep dreaming and aspiring…...i’d say….expectations…lead to more unhappiness and restlessness…..Ambitions make you dream and compel you to make prompt efforts on ur own….expectations make you wanna believe in the unknown,….a want, a thirst, which if not quenched….would make matters best…..
